Has anyone ever encountered steroid induced rosacea?

Basically has anyone been on a strong steroid for a long amount of time and now when you suddendly stop, your skin flares up? Just wanted to see if I am alone out there with this situation.Has anyone ever encountered steroid induced rosacea?
I wasn't using steroids but did have rosecea. I applied some creme that was an rx from the doc. I ran out and started using Vaseline Intensive Care Light moisturizing lotion with aloe and cucumber and it cleared it up. You can try that instead of an rx. I get the lotion at Wal-Mart. I was impressed that it would serve such a purpose but it's alot cheaper and safer than a rx. Good Luck though!Has anyone ever encountered steroid induced rosacea?
Steroids can most definitely induce rosacea. You should only use steroids on the face for the minimum period possible and the mildest form available to treat what is wrong.

You Dr. can prescribe some treatments that have been shown to be useful in treating steroid induced rosacea.

';tacrolimus 0.075% ointment may be effective for patients with steroid-induced rosacea, when combined with avoidance of topical steroid use, as well as avoidance of other agents known to aggravate rosacea (caffeine, spicy foods, alcohol, hot fluids, and fluoride).';
