I suffer from rosacea (red face) and want some advice on which foundation would best hide my blemishes, especially long wear ones.I have rosacea what foundation to use??
Physicians Formula has a green tinted moisturizer that tones down redness as it moisturizes. The link never works -- so go here .. http://www.physiciansformula.com then on the left hand side click on FACE -- then go to FACE TINTS and you'll find the green tinted moisturizer.
I know some of the girls I work with have Rosacea. Some have it all over .. and some have it around their nose and the cheeky area under your eyes. They all use a green concealer to cover that up and put their regular foundation over that: http://www.physiciansformula.com/detail_鈥?/a>
Dermablend has great products. It was made to cover scars, port whine stains, acne scars (I use dermablend for that), tattoos even! So you can look into that: http://www.dermablend.com/Fullcatalog.as鈥?/a>
Stays on for 16 hours as long as you get the setting powder.
Hope that helps!I have rosacea what foundation to use??

If you go to your GP they should put you in contact with someone at your local hospital who specialises in this and you can get it on a prescription
With rosacea you really want to protect your skin from further damage, so it is very important to use a sunscreen. Find one that is fragrance free and for sensitive skin so there will be even less irritation. There is a make up you can buy which was originally formulated for professional medical use for people with severe birthmarks and discolorations. Its called DermaBlend, You can now buy it as a simple powder or as a whole face kit. It is water proof and sweat proof once it is set with a special powder. It will cover anything and is completely blend able for the perfect shade to fit everyone. You can try to find it at Sephora.com or I know HSN.com carries it. I hope that helps some.
have you tried any real essential oils for the rosacea??? don't just give in to the genetics, a lot of things in the states are American problems and how many people aren't immigrants? So why not the problems from where we came from???? Why do people suddenly get fat here when move from Asia if it's in the genes????
I've heard a lot of promising results for rosacea with many things, the trick is to find what you personally repond to.
For coverup - I like chanel best
You should use mineral make-up. It's the best. You can try Physican's Formula. It's available in drugstores. They also make a mineral concealer that is green %26amp; it tones down the red. It covers flawlessly %26amp; is not heavy, thick, or caked. I know where you're coming from because I have the same problem, but with the mineral make-up I'm always being told how good my compexion is. If only they knew. Good luck.
Elizabeth Arden's Flawless Finish is quite thick - use with a damp or dry sponge for a full coverage. There is a specific foundation for birthmarks etc I've seen on QVC or Ideal World which is supposed to be wonderful but I'm not sure what it's called. You could try Google.
Lischener (Not sure that's the correct spelling, pronounced Lie-shner) used to do one and I think I'm right in thinking it was used as stage make up because it was so thick - again, if you apply with a sponge it should give you maximum coverage without being caked on.
Good luck x
A green based 'undercoat' would take down the redness. then apply normal foundation.
mineral makeup
Smashbox do fantastic sylicone photo finish colour correcting foundation primer, one is specifically aimed at colour control - the green one. You apply it over your mosituriser to even out our skin - both tone and texture - either all over the face or just where needed, cheeks say. Then either go bare-faced or follow with your usual foundation.
I use the clear one just to even out skin texture and really notice a difference, also prolongs foundation.
I most definitely understand and the product is the Liquid powder mineral foundation by Bee Luscious Cosmetics, I had tried all the products advertised with nothing delivering what it said it would then my girlfriend gave me a new product she found to try which was the Bee Luscious Foundation and WOW what an amazing product, it is mineral based , liquid but your skin will feel as soft as silk and it drys powdery smooth. Its simply the most incredible product I have ever tried, now here is the best part of my story, my husband has very bad rosacea and he is a man's man you know but I put a little on after fighting for two months and it evened his skin and it does not even look like you have anything on your face, he was fine with it now the biggest problem is he steals my stuff =) but its truly an awesome product that DOES WORK ! and it has an SPF of 15 as well so you are very protected against the sun
