Whats the best way to deal with rosacea at home?? I have some success with using aloe vera as a moisterizer, but I have also heard that for dryer areas of the skin (like on my chin and around my nose) that products with zinc oxide (like diaper rash cream) are also helpful. Does anyone know anything that can help me with this? My skin feels really dry and it doesnt look very good.Whats the best way to deal with rosacea??
Mine disappeared after chugging straight, sour cranberry juice. [Available in health food stores and some grocery stores.] It'll kill a fever in a snap, too!Whats the best way to deal with rosacea??
I have fought it for years. The thing I use every day is a prescription salve called Metrogel .75%. I apply it twice a day. That usually keeps it contained.
Then when it flares up even with the salve I use a prescription antibiotic called Doxycycline 100 Mg. capsules. They are cheap. About $7.00 for 60. I take them once a day for 20 days. That always clears it up.
I can not relate the flare ups to diet of any kind. It is chronic and you will deal with it the rest of your life.
Tell your doctor %26amp; see what he says.
Good luck.
stop drinking alcohol, I think Laser treatment can get rid of them
My Dr. said to stay away from spicy foods and caffeine.
There are wonderful prescriptions out now, and your Dr. can give you one. Only he knows which one to give you as an individual. Do not try to take care of this problem yourself, seek his/her help. Good luck.
I agree w/above, also, if you drink, stop drinking. For bad cases, there's antibiotics and dermabrasion. (see a dermatologist)
