Desonide Lotion for rosacea?

I went to the dermatologist today and found out I have rosacea. I'm only 16 and he said there isn't a cure and the only thing he could give me was Desonide Lotion 0.05% and he told me not to use it daily. Has anyone ever used this for rosacea? and did it work? how often should I use it?

the newest TV ad for rosacea is doxycline which is vibramycin only it's being advertised under a different name. at one point, they were using flagyl for this, get a second opinion. it's not in their interest to cure you, but to keep you coming back! cause there is never an emergency dermatology consult and they rarely take call. poor things.
